Art has always had a place in Donna's life. She began painting 10 years ago when she studied with George Bockius. She also studied with area artists Jean Francis and Earl Abbott as well as attending master classes at the Academy Art Museum of Easton, Maryland.

"Painting provides me with a passion, a challenge and pleasure. It is a never ending lesson. Plein Aire (live on location) is my favorite type. Needless to say I love painting" says Donna. Many of her current paintings are scenes of historic areas and landscapes of Delaware. Skilled in traditional oil painting techniques, she has recently ventured into watercolors.

Donna Hansen's work has been accepted and honored in many juried shows throughout Delaware and Maryland. She has lived in Delaware for over 40 years. She currently resides in Dover with her husband Donald. In 2002, Donna sold two oil paintings of 911 themes and donated the proceeds to the American Red Cross Liberty Fund. Patricia Parson-Beetschen (Letters) Dover DE

Pat is currently involved with The Children's Theatre, Inc. of Dover & Kent County Delaware of which she is a board member and Artistic Director.  She has been involved with the non-profit theatre group since 1997.  She started helping out by just doing makeup and hair for the theatre, when her daughter joined the theatre group when she was eight years old.  She enjoyed being a part of such a community oriented and nurturing group of all volunteer members which lead to her to be a makeup artist and soon became a board member.  She became interested in directing after assisting on three main stage productions. Since that time she has directed many plays.  She  wrote an original main stage play which was performed by the children of our theatre group, on stage at Wells Theatre, Wesley College and The Schwartz Center for the Arts in April of 2008 (The "Oh, So, True" Tale of Hansel and Gretel, The Three Little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood".    In 2009, My daughter, Kathleen and I directed local playwright, Jim Rogin's adaptation of "Cinderella".  I adapted his version of the play to include more characters for our April 2009 production.
